Philadelphia, PA (March 9, 2017)- Aria Health Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philly is proud to host the third annul Flyers Alumni vs. Checkmates Hockey charity game for Ulcerative Colitis and Chohn's Disease research on Saturday, March 11 at 5:00 PM.
Checkmates is a 501 (c) 3 organization concerned with the prevention and cure of chronic diseases, especially IBD. Over the past two years Checkmates has raised close to $40,000 in the attempt to find a cure for IBD. The charity was founded by Justin Miriglani, who In 2015 he lost his entire large intestine to Ulcerative Colitis that was developing into, full blown, colon cancer. Since then, in an attempt to shine a light on IBD and its devastating effects, Justin has been defying the odds, continuing to run Checkmates, his corporate instruction business, as well as trying to become the first man with an ileostomy to bench press 405lbs.
Tickets will be available at the door for $25 for the game and $50 for the game and the post game dinner at Nick Roast Beef.
