Rutgers University-Camden is a Division III Club hockey team that plays out of the Pennsauken Skate Zone. The Raptors are a member of the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference (DVCHC) in the American Division. Rutgers plays a twenty game season with additional playoff games. Some other teams within the American Division include: Widener University, Penn State-Brandywine, Salisbury University, Shippensburg University, and Johns Hopkins University. Many of the players throughout its history have come from local organizations familiar to the South Jersey area such as: Flyers Youth, Team Comcast, Mt. Laurel Jaguars, and the Hollydell Hurricanes. Rutgers-Camden provides a great opportunity for high school hockey players looking to stay local to continue playing after they've ended their travel and high school hockey careers.
